Ulverston Sports Club is situated behind the swimming baths on the outskirts of Ulverston just off the main Ulverston to Bardsea road. Click here for map.

The complex is the base for local football, rugby, cricket and hockey clubs and its 5 and 1/2 acre site provides the facilities for these activities.

The club has two bars, the main concert room has a capacity of 170 persons and is recognised as being one of the best function rooms in the area. This room has a raised stage and dance area as well as its own sound and lighting system. It is laid out in a cabaret-style and is furnished to a good standard. A recent addition to this room is the provision of a 2 metre square "Big Screen" TV linked to a Sky satellite receiver. Videos can be screened through the system for training / presentation purposes.

The small lounge bar has comfortable seating for 40 persons. There is a fully equipped kitchen, ante-room and ample parking.

Both rooms are available for hire during the day as well as evenings at very competitive rates.

The club provides an ideal venue for that special event - weddings, birthday parties and work functions as well as meetings and fund raising events can all be catered for.  The steward can provide catering from pie and peas to a full carved buffet - alternatively you can make your own arrangements. The club has its own experienced disc jockey who can cater for all types of music and all age groups.

In addition the club provides live entertainment on a regular basis and has a very pleasant and convivial atmosphere for anyone wishing to use the club's facilities for a function, join one of the sporting sections or just have a quiet drink.
